Closing a POS Session

At the end of a shift, a cashier closes their POS session to reconcile the till.

Steps

  1. The system displays the expected cash total based on all transactions during the session.
  2. The cashier counts the physical cash drawer and enters the counted amount.
  3. Any discrepancy between expected and counted totals is flagged for review.
  4. Once the count is confirmed, the session closes and the register is ready for the next shift.
